seaside senses story

SEASIDE SENSES

Seabrack smell shoreline sitting
Sunbathing seagulls shale shifts
Sand breeze-sway day happiness
Undress, caress soft skin and
sunburnt shoulders sunglasses
shine sparkling shells,
water shimmer, salty salt sun-
worshipping drinkers seated
sky-blue contentment burnished
brown gold smiles eyes shining
contentment sheer joy, little boy
seaweed sludge trudge
body-brown beautiful bobbing
boats quay-swift lagoon
marooned slow boat show
boat bold brown blew around
wafted stuck sea surrender
silent smile beguile a while
stay sun-soaking peace
perfection swift, stream slips
stream dipping dinghy
shrill call bird on wing
sails slow wing –swirling
circles surround around
surf-stream sun’s gleam
glint contentment.
Water creeps up unnoticed
Silent motion up=sand lifting
Moss across stone advanced
Shimmering band wave bands
Of brackishness deep dark blue
Beneath sky high blue
Cloudless day. Boats go by
